Jo Thorne is the director of Elevate Beyond Co. - who has a wealth of knowledge and industry expertise across disability services, family and domestic violence and wellbeing. Jo dedicates her time to connecting and providing unique supports to individuals and their families; and is passionate about helping participants flourish in every aspect of their lives.

Jo provides specialised assistance for participants, nominees and support teams in the southeast suburbs of Melbourne; as well as offering some services remotely by request.

Jo is also a qualified personal trainer who provides this service from Not a Gym and very much enjoys the opportunity to deliver this valuable health and wellbeing service to individuals who are able to experience amazing outcomes.
  • Jo has been providing disability support & services for over 20 years.
  • Jo is a Disability and Family & Domestic Violence Facilitator and brings lived experience to this important role.
  • As a nominee for her nephew, Jo assists with capacity building solutions for nominees, which involves early intervention work and is able to act as a ‘key worker’ providing ‘on the ground’ support for other support workers in the industry.
  • Jo takes pride in a personal, flexible, and transparent approach to disability supports and other services, to ensure the participant and family can live the best life possible.
  • Beyond being qualified and experienced many areas, Jo has a history in working with trauma, behaviour of concerns, specialised housing and Individualised Planning and financial intermediaries.

Case Study

Miss Z is an NDIS participant who has been supported by Jo's Support Services in many aspects of her life ranging from housing, work placements and pursuing her life goals and dreams.

Miss Z really enjoys dancing, singing and being in front of a camera; and with our ongoing support, was able to audition and land a role in a TV commercial with comedian Sammy J on the the ABC. This was an amazing experience for her and is something she will never forget.
